404 in johor update

my very helpful friend went to have a closer look at the french beauty yesterday.
(hope to meet him on 5th of september in Johor.
the owner of the car is not in. so he just managed to have an outer look.
the car is yellow with brown interior.
Yellow is definately not my color. Black is more classy. or the normal greyish white is acceptable.
the car is also fitted with aircond. As i remember my uncle 404 is without aircond. He use a fan only. fitted inside te car. maybe those day the weather is a bit cooler?
lamps are in good condition. so as the seats. The car has a bit of paint flaking of the right wing (size 2"x3"). Front & Rear Windscreen
rubbers have been changed.

my uncle still havent got the time to go see the car condition.
he is busy with work. hopefully this weekend i will have some news from him.
merdeka is near. maybe it is a good idea to go back hometown. take a few pictures of the 404.

mistaken identity

yesterday i called back home. with a hope. a high hope actually. hopeing to her nesw about the 404 in kelantan that my uncle suppose to go check it out. the owner name is Ah Po. my very helpful uncle thought he is the Ah Po in our kampung. untill he discovered that the owner is some other Ah Po. indeed a mistaken identity. look like i have to wait a couple of days till my uncle go check the car for me.

engine need overhaul. a friend intro me to a spareparts shop. said a solex carb is around rm900. overhauling may need rm2.5k.













the seat seem nice. but moldy. due to the weather. a clean up will make it look new. i think.










the fintail back light is broken. this feature is a must for me. i dont know why. i like the fintail. look so cool.

stering wheel and dash board is still in good condition. but very dirty. a bit rusty.

it seems very hard to find this beauty. recently i found 2 none working 404s. a tip from a friend. the car lying to decay under Malaysia hot sun. selling at 3.5k for 2 car.
EXSPENSIVE.

a further chat with couple of friends, i got news that there is a working condition in Johor. will be there on the 4th of September. selling at 3.5k too.

last nite i got a good news from Kelantan. my uncle called. he said there is a working conditon 404 selling for few hundreds. he will go to see the car condition.

peugeot 404

ini keta memang cun. my uncle own one. but sadly he changed the engine to japanese engine, a Datsun Engine. i used to ride this car when i was younger.
now i feel it is a waste to dump the car away. so i decided to rebuilt this french beauty.
